Chicopee, MA – October 15, 2024
Beaulieu Home Improvement (Beaulieu Home Improvement), a family-owned business based in Chicopee, MA, is proud to announce the winners of its annual Veterans Project: Home Renovations for Heroes, which provides essential home renovations to local veterans at no cost. This year, Tom of West Springfield and Adam of Chicopee have been selected as the recipients of critical home repairs.
The Veterans Project is an initiative created by Beaulieu Home Improvement, a business with over 50 years of history serving the Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut areas. Fully self-funded, the project provides up to $10,000 worth of home improvements, ensuring that veterans receive the support they need to improve their homes and their quality of life. The Beaulieu family is deeply committed to giving back to the community, and this project is a testament to their values.
Tom, a Navy veteran who served during Desert Storm, was nominated by his mother-in-law, Barbara. Tom and his family live in an aging home in West Springfield that requires new doors to make his home safer and more functional.
“Tom is a dedicated family man and a hard worker,” Barbara wrote. “This renovation will make a real difference for him and his family, giving them the comfort and safety they deserve.”

Adam, an 80% disabled Marine Corps veteran, was nominated by his mother, Jeannette. Adam recently purchased his first home in Chicopee, but the home needed significant trim repairs. Beaulieu Home Improvement has since been able to make these repairs for him and his 3-year-old son.
“Adam has always been committed to giving back, both as a veteran and now as a licensed social worker helping other veterans with mental health challenges,” Jeannette shared. “This project will provide him the security and comfort his family needs.

Al and Fran Beaulieu, brothers and co-owners of Beaulieu Home Improvement, emphasized the importance of the Veterans Project:
“We created the Veterans Project to give back to the people who have given so much for our country. It’s our way of honoring their service by making sure they and their families are safe and comfortable in their homes.”
The renovations for Tom will take place on Veterans Day, November 11, 2024, and will include replacing multiple doors to ensure safety and comfort for his family.
Beaulieu Home Improvement is also now accepting applications for its 2025 Veterans Project, with an application deadline of July 31, 2025. Veterans and their families are encouraged to apply through the project’s website on the Veterans Project Page, beaulieuhomeimprovement.com/veterans-project/. The winner will receive up to $10,000 in home improvement products and services, with all work carried out by Beaulieu Home Improvement’s skilled craftsmen.
