Phil Beaulieu & Sons Home Improvement had the opportunity to work at the Ronald McDonald House of Springfield, and our team gave the building a full exterior makeover including new siding, gutters, and windows.
The Ronald McDonald House of Springfield supports children and their families while the child is undergoing treatment from Baystate Hospital in Springfield. Families come to Baystate from all over the world and are offered support by this organization. It was an honor to be the selected contractor that helped rejuvenate the building that hosts the amazing people of the Ronald McDonald House and the families in need of their support during some of the most challenging times in their lives.
The house is certainly a landmark on Chapin Terrace in Springfield nearest Baystate's Daly Building Main Entrance. The director of the Springfield House wanted to preserve the natural charm of the building while giving the exterior a bright yet classic update. We installed new Mastic Carvedwood siding in the color Deep Granite. The contrast of this deep gray color and the bright white trim brings the eye-catching details to light. Around the turret on the front of the building and the bay window, we installed custom vinyl trim using PVC material. The PVC is a maintenance-free solution to trim windows and doors and it can also be used, like on this turret, to add an artistic element by highlighting an otherwise simple design. We installed more than 60 new Harvey Classic windows in the building. These windows provide better insulation than the older window units and can be customized in a variety of ways. For example, we installed 7 different styles of windows on this building and, because Harvey offers so many different customization options, we were able to mimic the existing look and maintain it's original charm!
We are very proud to have worked with this amazing organization. It was a special project for a very special organization.
